1. Who we are

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What we collect
- Your name, mobile number, email address and suburb.
- The address of the job, once you engage us.
- What you tell us about the job, and any photographs you send us of it.
- Quotes, invoices and records of the work we did.
- Basic technical information from our website, such as which pages were viewed.
We do not want and do not ask for sensitive information. Please do not send us health information, government identity documents, or bank or card numbers through the website form.
3. Why we collect it
To quote your job, to do the work, to contact you about it, to invoice you and to keep the records a business is required to keep. We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

5. Who we share it with
Only where it is necessary: our website host and form provider, which receives your enquiry; accounting software and our accountant for invoicing and tax records; a professional adviser if we need advice; and a government agency or a court where the law requires it. If you were referred to us by a property manager or a builder, we will discuss the job with them, because they are the party engaging us.
6. Storage outside Australia
Our website form provider and email provider may store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. By sending an enquiry you consent to that. We take reasonable steps to use providers that handle data securely.
7. How long we keep it
Quotes, invoices and job records are generally kept for five years, which is what Australian tax law requires. Records relating to work under warranty are kept for the life of that warranty. Enquiries that do not turn into jobs are deleted once they are clearly stale.
8. Security
The website form is submitted over an encrypted connection. Accounts are password protected and access is limited to the owner. Paper records, where they exist, are kept secure. No system is perfect, and if a data breach ever occurred that was likely to cause serious harm we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required.
9. Cookies and embedded content
We do not run advertising trackers on this site. The coverage map on the contact and home pages loads map tiles from a third party map provider, which means your browser makes a request to that provider when the map loads. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Neither is used by us to identify you.
10. Access and correction
Call 0451 110 154 or email quotes@amhandyman.com.au and ask. We will not charge for a reasonable request, and we will confirm who you are before we hand anything over.
11. Complaints
Speak to the owner first on 0451 110 154 and we will try to sort it out. If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
