What we get called for

The yard jobs that never get done

Stumps

A stump that is still there two years later

A stump sitting in a lawn is a mower hazard, a termite invitation and the reason half a garden bed cannot be replanted. Getting one out is mostly about the root ball, and how much of it has run under a path or a wall.

  • Stump and root ball dug out rather than just ground flush
  • Taproots followed and cut so nothing reshoots
  • Hole backfilled, compacted and levelled
  • Everything carted away, nothing left on the verge

Beds and edges

Garden beds, edging and the line between lawn and dirt

Most yards look untidy for one reason: nothing has a line. A bed with a proper edge, brick or timber, holds its mulch, keeps the lawn out and makes the whole yard read as looked after even when nothing else has changed.

  • Brick, timber or paver edging laid to a string line
  • Beds turned over, levelled and topped with soil or mulch
  • New timber beds built from treated pine and bracketed at the corners
  • Existing edging lifted and re-laid where it has moved

Clearing

Clearing out and carting away

Overgrown beds, an old shed slab full of weeds, a corner of the yard that has become storage. Clearing is the part everyone wants finished and nobody wants to do, and the real work is the trailer loads, not the digging.

  • Overgrowth cut back, dug out and cleared
  • Rubbish and green waste loaded and taken away
  • Ground raked back level and ready for turf or mulch
  • Priced by what is there, once we have seen a photo

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

01

Send photos

Two or three wide shots of the area beat any description.

02

We price the trailer loads

Clearing is priced by volume, so we say what we think it is.

03

We do it in one go

Most yard jobs are a day, and we bring the tools and the trailer.

04

We leave it swept

Paths blown down and nothing left on the kerb.

Why us

The jobs a builder will not take are the jobs we are built for.

  • The small jobs are the whole business. A door, a fence panel, a list of five things. That is the work we are set up for, not the leftovers between big jobs.
  • You get the price before we start. Quotes are free and in writing, itemised, valid 30 days, and the quote says what is not included. Nothing is due on labour up front, and you can cancel at no cost before materials are ordered.
  • We say no when it is not our job. We do not mow. A weekly lawn round is a different business and better value from someone already on your street. Where a stump is against a wall or a service line, grinding may be the only sensible option and we will say so.
  • Up to 5 years on our workmanship. 5 years on what we build new, 3 years on repairs to what was already there. On top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which no warranty can take away.

FAQs

What people ask about garden jobs

We dig them out with the root ball where access allows, because grinding leaves the roots in the ground and they can reshoot or keep rotting under a path. If a stump is against a wall or a service line, grinding may be the only sensible option and we will say so.

Yes. Green waste and cleared material go with us, and tip fees are shown as their own line on the quote rather than buried in the labour rate.

No. This is one-off garden work rather than a regular mowing round: stumps, beds, edging, clearing and tidy ups. A weekly lawn service is a different business and better value from someone who is already on your street.

Yes, out of treated pine with galvanised bracket joints, set out on site to the space you have. We can line it and fill it with soil at the same time so it is ready to plant when we leave.

By what is there, from photos. Two or three wide shots of the area let us estimate trailer loads, and the quote separates labour from tip fees so you can see both.
